life after sprinkles

yes, the sprinkles are gone.

So, we took a fun trip to Chicago this past week. three day extravaganza which included 1 day to drive up, 1 day spent at Shriners Hosptial, and 1 day to drive back. In between we had dinner with friends, inventoried the Ingathering supplies getting them ready for next month, printed the curriculum to send to teachers, and visited a few stores including a lovely thrift store to purchase winter jackets for our munchkins. Whew! So, in case you were wondering, Tiki is doing great! The doctors/therapists/specialists/etc (11 in one day) were very pleased with her verbal skills and everything else. Instead of seeing them in 6 months, we get to extend it to 9-12 months! Go Tiki.

Overheard on the drive home: As Selah extends a scrap about the size of a lentil: "Tiki, want a teeny-tiny wipe?" Yes, Selah, that does qualify as teeny-tiny. What do you expect your sister to do? wipe off her... eyelash? lol. i love my kids. Oh, except when they scream "STUUUUUUCK!" for 6 hours straight. Did you know that when your seatbelt is on, you are essentially stuck in your seat? It's true. And Tikvah has learned well from her sister. "guuuuck!" Okay, I love them then too. Just not the same way. Ah, the joys of travel and seatbelt laws.

We also were blessed with some free Thai food (thanks 007s!!) -- my favorite -- and some cute backbacks filled with books and software for the girls from the Thai owner who always remembers our names. If you're in Skokie, go there. Tub Tim Thai. best Thai food you'll ever find.
