bottle to cup

So, we're trying to transition Selah from a bottle to a cup. Now, she knows how to use a cup, and enjoys it, also she drinks her water from a sippy cup. But apparently in her mind, milk=bottle. Milk is NOT allowed to come in any other container. I've been taking it slow, offering her milk in a variety of containers and various kinds of sippy cups. But after a few weeks, thats it (it took her a month to switch from nursing to a bottle, so I gave her time). She continues to reject milk from anything but a bottle--so we changed her bottle. I put a cross-cut (X) in her bottle nipples. Wow! That got a reaction. She did NOT like that at all. So now she's refusing a bottle too. And after a day and a half, she's started taking sips from a straw. Please, God, let her decide milk is okay in a cup--soon! :) Poor, cranky kid. She's only drunk a few sips of milk in the last few days. And poor us, because cranky kid means cranky mama. And if the Mama ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy. LOL.
