National Night Out August 2016

Since we moved we've started going to National Night Out. It's a community event to support relations between the police and communities. Last year we just went to our neighborhood one, but this year we went to the big guns: Rolling Meadows. There's giveaways of food and other stuff, and different performances. There was the Chicago Bears drumline (fantastic!) who also let some of the kids try out the drums, and also the Jesse White tumblers who we've seen in parades before.

 A helicopter flew in at the start of the evening and left again about half way through.
