Banff... where the Banffsters live!
We just celebrated our 10th anniversary (a little late.. what crazy people get married right before Christmas?) on a gorgeous getaway to the Canadian Rockies!!!
God blessed us with 3 beautiful sunny days, 2 beautiful rainy/snowy days, a trip up a gondola for an amazing view, a trip to Lake Louise to drink in the beauty there, a trip to a glacier where we both stood on it and drank some ice melt, a boat tour, seeing the thermal springs (and smelling them!), lots of yummy meals (Spanish, Greek, Thai, Indian, Canadian, and American), fun shopping in little tourist traps, hot tub relaxation, funny silent movies, uninterrupted sleep, and more! Oh yes, and wonderful friends who took great care of our girls while we went away!
Thank you God for 10 1/2 years together! And thank you God for the chance and time to celebrate!
In Banff
snuggling with a Royal Canadian Mounted... Moose?
Going up the Banff Gondola!! AMAZING views!!!
One of the amazing views
Another one
yet another... Leah was trying to hold up the mountain, but it didn't work
Another one!
The girls' favorite picture from the trip... it looked like a chipmunk, but its really a squirrel. A very friendly one!
Lake Louise!! We took tons of pictures here, but most of them are exactly the same!! One amazing view... and the lake was still frozen in late May!
Glacier by Lake Louise
Glacier at the Columbia Icefields.... fun to go out on the ice! We drank it too--tastes like the ice you left to melt in your cup! haha
These giant machines carried us over a super steep incline and then out onto the ice.
