Reading? !!!

I've started Selah on a book called "Alphaphonics" by Samuel Blumenfeld as part of our new Kindergarten Homeschool class! So far, we've gotten up to lesson 5, and she read 25 words by herself! Plus 4 sentences. She's got the concept of sounding out letters and then running them together to get the word. (S-A-M oh, Sam!). She still wants to just guess, instead of doing the work of sounding out the letters, but she's doing great! I'm so proud of her!

Here's what she read today:
ad, had, dad, sad, Tad, mad, am, ham, dam, Sam, an, man, Dan, tan, as, has, was (irregular!), at, hat, sat, mat, ax, tax, wax, Max. Sam sat. Sam has an ax. Dan sat. Dad has wax.
