Home is Where the HEART is!
For those of you who are still in the dark ages and have not yet joined Facebook, or refuse to pay extra to have texting capabilities on your phone, we would like to inform you of a minor crisis we had here last week. [The following message has been approved by the Lonely Homely Hearts Club.]
Micha has apparently been having some chest pains over the past few months. Last Tuesday, they refused to cease and desist as they have in the past. So Wednesday we all took a trip to the Doc, who took an EKG and sent us on to the ER (Emergency Room). There they evaluated him for a while, then decided he must have had a heart attack in the past sometime. (Spoiler warning! He did NOT have a heart attack...as you will read).
Before he was released Friday evening, he was submitted to: a second EKG, multiple blood tests, an echocardiogram, a stress test, and another echo. Following the second EKG, they decided there had been no heart attack, but wanted to rule out any problems. Turns out the cardiologist is really good at reading echos, and found a very small hole in Micha's heart! VSD, (Ventricular Septal Defect) just like Selah had at birth! Now, Micha's brother also had this, but Micha's had never been detected before. Isn't it good to know that Selah's (now resolved) VSD was from Micha, and not because Leaheats way too much sugar had Gestational Diabetes? Ah, yes. So his hole is so small it was not causing the chest pain, but good to know about anyway. All tests came back great (my skinny, healthy husband) but the chest pain continues. Pray Micha's pains will disappear! The doctors released him with some Motrin and hopes that it will disappear in time.
BUT, while in the hospital, Micha got a chance to talk about Jesus with multiple doctors and nurses! If you want a list to pray for, let us know, and we'll send you all the particulars.
We are so blessed to have such a great community around us here who were praying, encouraging, calling, etc and even watching the munchkins in spots (Thanks Chiclet, Rockstar, and Lyn!) And the many people who we don't even know from 'round the world through prayer chains via our parents. Wow. God is so good to us!
This song has been a theme for the last few months at our house, especially as we read through the book of Job.

Blessed be You name in the land that is plenitful
Where Your streams of abundance flow Blessed be Your name
And blessed be Your name when I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness Blessed be Your name
Every blessing You pour out I'll turn back to praise
And when the darkness closes in, Lord Still I will say
(Chorus)
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be Your name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be Your name when the sun's shining down on me
When the world's "all as it should be" Blessed be Your name
And blessed be Your name on the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering Blessed be Your name
(Bridge)
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name
