I just wanted to pass this on...

Basically, you have an index card box, and dividers, and you write a verse or passage on each card. You work on the Daily verse daily, and then also 3 other verses: Odd/Even, Weekly, and Monthly. As you memorize, you put the Daily verse back to a later slot, and start a new one!
Its a great way to be memorizing Scripture! We've been using it for a few months now, and the girls have learned so many verses. In fact, they learn them long before we do! After about 3 hearings of a verse, they've got it down. Yay! We've got verses in the slots now up to about Day 12 of the month, so that's a verse, or "chunk of verses" times 20!
Our daily verse right now is Psalm 141:3, but other ones we've worked on (and continue to review with this great system) are 1 Corinthians 13, Psalm 23, Ephesians 6:1, various Proverbs, Romans 10:1, Romans 12:10, Philippians 2:14 etc etc. God is really good at bringing His Word to mind when we need a reminder! "Thy Word have I hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee" Oops! Don't know the reference to that one! I guess we should add it to our box!
