God's Word gives life

We memorize Scripture as a family, and as a congregation too for a matter of fact! At Olive Tree we've been working on Galatians 5:13-25. Well, the kids learn it with no effort at all! Tikvah had a month or so where she would bite Selah if she was angry, and we would tell her from that passage, "but if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by another!" And she got it. Obviously. Because I was playing with her the other day and "nibbling" on her arm, and she said to me, "Mama, do not bite and devour me!"

God really knows what He's talking about (Always!) that His Word does not return void! They understand and change so much better when we use Scripture to show how their behavior is unacceptable! And as we memorize it, God brings those verses to mind to help us change to be more like Him too! Thank you God!
