Transit of Venus

We went to the Planetarium on June 5 for the transit of Venus.  Basically, Venus traveling across the sun.  With special sunglasses, you could look directly at the sun and see Venus as a spot moving across.   The next time this will happen is in 2117, so this was our once in a lifetime chance!!! (actually, it happened also in 2004, but this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the girls!).  There were also tons of telescopes set up across the lawn there, and we got to look at the transit via shadow-box as well.  Really, really neat!

Selah landed on the moon?  Don't they look alike?
See the spot?  That's Venus!!  This was a shadow-box.
