Homemade Ice Cream
Our science book this year (Astronomy) had an experiment of making homemade ice cream. Both yummy, and a chance to see that adding salt to ice lowers the temperature at which ice melts. Yeah, I think they just got the yummy part.
Ingredients: powdered sugar, whipping cream, vanilla, ice, and salt. Put the sugar, cream, and vanilla in plastic bag. Put into larger bag and add ice and salt. Shake, shake, shake until cream is thick and frozen! It was surprisingly delicious and tasted a lot like Breyer's Vanilla Bean. the remnant
