Nature a la naturale

An another field trip... to the Nature museum downtown.
This butterfly is beautiful on the outside with its markings, though plain and brown, but when it opened its wings it was a brilliant blue!! Our God is amazing!

Our own nature center at home. We planted our usual basil, peas, carrots, and chives, as well as an onion that had grown in our cabinet--its even flowering! And then this year we added to the repetoire.... pumpkins! They have huge leaves already and we'll see if we can get any pumpkins off them for eating. We will even try to milk-feed one!
