More astronomy... the power of the sun!

To show how strong the sun's rays are, we took a magnifying glass and used it to concentrate the sun's rays onto a piece of chocolate (we also had a control chocolate which got warm, but not melted!). The spot of sunlight not only melted the chocolate but burnt holes in it!! Sorry about the fuzzy picture.
