Happily Ever After

Thanks to Aunt Jerusha, the girls have had some creative fun lately. They made a bunch of necklaces (some for their stuffed animals/dolls), and yesterday they worked hard to write and illustrate their own fairy tale. Enjoy!

An Original Tale by Selah and Tikvah

Once upon a time...
there was a Fairy and a Princess.
The Princess' name is Violet.
The Fairy's name is Arabeda.

The Princess went into her catle to eat breakfast.
Then she went back to bed.

The Fairy went into her catle to eat some lunch.
The two maidens found some flowers.

Then a dragon came along.
It was very scary.

The dragon even frightened the princess!
She ran into her castle, went under the sheets and covers and she was terrified.
And she never went out of her castle again.

Another day she went out of her castle and the dragon was still there and she frightened it away into the forest where it fell dead.

Now the Fairy Arabeda flew.

The frog hopped into the castle. It lived with a Princess. She had a party hat and shoes and a purse. And a wand.

Then the King came along. He said "hi" to the other King.

Then she went into her castle. She went to sleep. She drempt about a Bampster King.

  • Great story! ...but if they could work Tooth Fairy into it, it would be just a little bit better. But then their mom refuses to acknowledge good 'ol Tooth Fairy. (sigh!)
